Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
CollegeCompass360 does not pass your request or your email address to schools. Advertising pixels on this site, and the Microsoft ad click ID and value of later results we send Microsoft Advertising to measure our ads, may still count as "sharing" of personal information under several state privacy laws. This page is how you opt out of that, and how you exercise your other privacy rights.
Opt out of sale or sharing
There are two ways, and neither requires an account:
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC). Most privacy-focused browsers and extensions can send it. We treat it as an opt-out for that browser: no analytics or advertising pixels load at all, we don’t save the Microsoft ad click ID from your visit and we delete the click-ID cookies on our domain, and if you send a request or unlock a study tool’s bonus while it is on, we record the signal alongside it, which also stops us sending Microsoft any later result for you.
- Email us. privacy@collegecompass360.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and the email address you used. We will confirm within 10 business days and action it within 45 days.
We don’t pass requests or sign-ups to schools, so there is nothing to recall from one. Opting out stops advertising pixels for your browser, marks your record as opted out of sale and sharing, and stops us sending Microsoft Advertising any later result tied to you (the ad click ID with the time and value we credit to the ad). Results we sent before you opted out stay with Microsoft, which handles them under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Our partners pagenames every business that may contact you about a request; the emails you get after unlocking a study tool’s bonus come from CollegeCompass360 and NoGigiddy.com.
Your other rights
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia — and anyone else who asks — may request the following. We honour them regardless of where you live.

How we verify a request
We match the email address against the request we hold. If it does not match, we may ask for one more detail from your submission, such as your ZIP code or the field of study you chose. We will never ask you for a Social Security number, a copy of an ID, or payment. If we cannot verify you, we will say so and explain why.
Authorised agents
Someone may act for you if they provide written permission signed by you, or a power of attorney. We may still contact you directly to confirm.
Timing, and appealing a decision
We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If a request is complex we may take one further 45 days and will tell you why. If we decline, reply to our decision with the word appeal and we will review it and answer within 45 days. If we still decline, you may complain to your state attorney general.
What happens to your data either way
We keep lead and sign-up records for 36 months and then anonymise or delete them. Your request or sign-up is stored and emailed using systems shared with NoGigiddy.com, which is under common ownership with CollegeCompass360, so a deletion request covers both. We never charge for any of this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
